About the E10.7 plot

One of the most popular products generated by the SOLAR2000 irradiance model is today's most recent index to Solar UV/EUV; the nowcast E10.7. In units of the traditional F10.7, E10.7 represents a superior index to the physical energy input to the ionosphere and thermosphere. In the plot below, The bottom figure is the E10.7 for approximately the past two solar rotations leading up to today's estimated value. The bottom figure is a 'validation' plot where the nowcast E10.7 is compared to 1996-2000 historical values, providing a degree of verification.
