SET scientist explains radiation at commercial aviation altitudes
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) broadcasts an award-winning weekly science program called Quirks & Quarks which draws approximately 800,000 listeners each week. Bob McDonald, a 30-year science journalist and science commentator, interviewed Dr. W. Kent Tobiska, President and Chief Scientist of Space Environment Technologies to explain why airplane passengers are getting extra doses of radiation.
